Hello, greetings and welcome my fellow travelers!

Let me introduce myself.

My name is Marci Horton, and I am your everyday, average bibliophile. I love reading and writing and expanding my mind through the creative process. I have been writing poetry since I was young and was introduced to my grandmother's favorite poetry book. I would sit for hours, transfixed and lost in the beautiful words on the pages before me. Poetry gave me a voice when I was voiceless and helped me find my way through many of my darkest days. 

I have always dreamed of writing poetry and stories through the trial and tribulations of my own struggles. The ability to relate to another in our time of need, if only for a fleeting moment, can make all the difference in the world. I was fortunate to find the written word in my time of need, if I can be that for someone else than I know that I have achieved a lifelong goal.

Most days you can find me hanging out with my husband and our two children and our four dogs. I am an avid wonderer and enjoy getting lost in the woods whenever possible. I am a foodie and I love to cook and bake, even if it's only for my family. I live in a small community near the shores of one of the most beautiful lakes in Northern California, Clear Lake.
